What is the McDowell Mountain Music Festival?
From the McDowell Mountain Music Festival official website: The McDowell Mountain Music Festival took off in April of 2004 as an endeavor to bring real music back to Arizona while getting the community together for a great cause: our children. Each year, the festival brings together a number of bands from a wide variety of genres from all over the world to Arizona. The Festival takes place on the last weekend of April every spring. If you have never been to a music festival, come to ours. Experience the spirit that is cultivated when people join together and have a good time. Bring your kids. Make some friends. There is a silent auction/raffle, marketplace, drum circle, acoustic stage, Kid's Zone and more. Be a part of helping to give back to the community - all proceeds, yes 100%, raised from the Festival are donated to two charities - Phoenix Day Family & Learning Center and Ear Candy. Mission Statement The McDowell Mountain Music Festival exists to integrate and support the community, the arts and the underprivileged. Purpose Statement To connect the community through a festival gathering including music, arts and food. To entertain the community, companies and their employees. To educate the underprivileged. To support the arts in an effort that they may grow and exist for future generations to enjoy. To provide financial support & education to family based charities in an effort to provide equitable advancement for the underprivileged.
