The National Folk Festival Comes to Nashville
The National Council for the Traditional Arts (NCTA) announced in May of 2010 that Nashville, TN has been selected as the host city for The National Folk Festival in 2011, 2012, and 2013. The "National" is the oldest and longest-running multi-ethnic traditional arts festival in the US. The traveling exposition of traditional music and culture will be on display in downtown Nashville for three consecutive years. The 2013 National will mark the 75th anniversary of the festival. Nashville won the honor in a competition involving 40 cities across the nation. For all the details, visit NCTA.net.
