Our New Music Picks—TapWater, San Diego CA

TapWater: An American Jam Rock Experience.
TapWater is the San Diego-based jam rock band that gives voice to a generation searching to be free. Part country and jazz, part blues and bluegrass, their unique blend of sweet jammy "rock" and comfortable "roll" return inspiration to folks longing for more than a 9-to-5 life. Trading routine for adventure, fluorescent lights for mountain air, TapWater is true American spirit.
TapWater's mission is to:
• Make you groove in merriment.
• Make a positive impact on the community.
• Provide a business model that integrates social responsibility into its structure.
Music is one of the only forces that can bring thousands of people together in the spirit of celebration. TapWater uses this special gift to initiate and improve community relationships. We are successful because our bright happy sound bridges four generations of folks from all different backgrounds. The result is a warm reciprocity between band and fans.

"TapWater is just plain fun," remarks Tim Jones, who plays keys and accordion. "Everyone attending our show is instant family. Whether you come to party all night in the club or bring your kids to see us at the festival, the whole point is that you put your worries down for a while and celebrate what’s good in life."
Editors Note: The boys from TapWater have played several times at a venue I frequent in Nashville, the Blue Bar and Rack Room. Their music is absolutely infectious. I predict big things from these San Diegans! —Jack Hayford

More from the Editor: Oh, I almost forgot. I need to give a shout out here to my old friend Dan Crawford and HIS band, The Tapwater Conchs. I bought my first Wurli 200 from Dan in the 1970s. Great musician! —JH
