Songwriter's Workshop with Kent Blazy

The Stillwater Foundation, a non-profit organization providing after-school music programs for youth in the Durango, CO area, will host a fundraising Songwriter's Workshop with Kent Blazy. Blazy is a renowned songwriter with a long and impressive resume of Nashville hits. Most notably, Blazy has written several #1 hits with Garth Brooks, including If Tomorrow Never Comes, Ain't Goin' Down til the Sun Comes Up, Somewhere Other Than the Night, and It's Midnight Cinderella. Blazy has also written for artists such as Diamond Rio, Clay Walker, Patty Loveless, and Kenny Chesney.

This 2-hour workshop gives beginning and experienced songwriters a rare opportunity to work in an intimate setting with a songwriting legend. All proceeds benefit The Stillwater Foundation and will help continue and develop music instruction programs for youth in the Durango and Four Corners area.

The workshop will be held at Canyon Music Woodworks on 2nd Avenue in Durango on Friday, October 16, 5-7pm. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door and are available at Canyon Music Woodworks, by calling 970-769-2469, or by e-mailing tgasaway@stillwaterfoundation.org.
