Nashville In The Mountains Tamworth, New Hampshire (2007)
CLICK HERE FOR OUR NEXT EVENT!THANKS TO ALL for Making the 2007 Nashville In The Mountains Show the Most Successful Ever! NEW November 3rd Show Announced! On behalf of Double H Farm & DurangoSong.com we would like to express a sincere Thank You to all those who helped bring "Nashville In The Mountains" to life. A very special THANK YOU to The Greater Ossipee Area Chamber of Commerce, Nutrena Feeds & The Brass Heart Inn for their sponsorship. A BIG Thanks to Joshua Tree Christian Youth Ministries for their terrific Southwestern BBQ. A HUGE THANK YOU to Tom Eastman at The Conway Daily Sun for his fantastic feature story. His Friday article had the ticket line still ringing at 7:30 on show night. To The Carroll County Independent for their great article, and of course to WSCY New Country Radio for their expertise with our radio promos. It was our desire to create an old fashioned barn dance atmosphere, and our guests made it possible. The nearly "standing room only" audience included people from 13 to nearly 90 years of age. Many of them were still dancing & singing till the show's end. The Nashville performers, Amy Benton & Luther Lewis's White Lightnin' Band were spectacular and received tremendous reviews. We have already received numerous requests to "bring 'em back & soon!" The Good Lord willing and if the creek don't rise, we'll do just that. As with most performing arts, it is nearly impossible to cover the production costs of these shows. We are resigned to the fact that "breaking even" is a sign of success. However, with your generous support and encouragement it will be our pleasure to continue the production of these talent filled shows. In fact, we are already working on the next "Nashville In The Mountains." With Many Thanks, Randy & Cheryl Hayford, Double H Farm & Double H Productions Jack Hayford, DurangoSong.com & Events-in-Music.com

Hear Luther Lewis on the radio!

One of Nashville's hottest bands, Luther Lewis & White Lightnin' are a strong and smooth alliance of some of the best singers and players you'll find anywhere. The dynamics of sounds coming from their stage keep dancers on the floor and audiences wanting more. All the talented members of White Lightnin' (Karen Daughtery, Jim Thacker, James Shelton) have extensive musical experience and are truly professional. On occasion, Luther will invite guest musicians of various top recording artists to play with him. You might see Tracy Lawrence's steel guitar player or maybe Josh Turner's drummer playing with the band. Now that's cool!
Collectively, Luther Lewis & White Lightnin' have opened for such stars as: Tracy Lawrence, Deryl Dodd, Vern Gosden, Lonestar, Joe Diffie, Trace Adkins, Ken Mellons, Aaron Tippin, Blackhawk, Wade Hayes, Mark Wills, Neal McCoy, Trick Pony, David Ball, Ricochet, Rascal Flatts, Lorrie Morgan, Cledus T. Judd, Darryl Worley, Daron Norwood, Sammy Kershaw, George Jones, Little Texas, Alabama, Terri Clark, Tracey Byrd, Daryle Singletary, Gary Allen, Keith Urban, .38 Special, Brad Paisley, and Blake Shelton just to name a few.
This is a high-energy, country "boot-kicking" good time!
"Behold and embrace the healing power of music," says Amy (Readhead) Benton, a recent music therapist graduate of Illinois State University.
"I believe music touches the soul," Amy says. "I want to use it to help others improve their health. I was born with music in my heart and intend to use it the way Jesus wants me to use it."
A Taylorville (TN) resident, Amy is a well-known singer and guitar player who performs regularly at community festivals and weddings. Her style is a cross between Sheryl Crow and Allison Krauss, but she’s versatile enough to perform any type of song.
Amy is devoted to sharing her God-given talent with others. Besides performing, she developed a music program for children that she implemented in her community. She also teaches private music lessons and works in homes and nursing homes using music therapy and performance to lift other’s spirits.
Amy recently married BJ Benton and they packed up and moved to Nashville. She can be seen regularly at the Nashville Palace, the world famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge and Cadillac Ranch. They are excited about this new adventure and are excited about what the Lord has planned for them!
