Ironic's Max Sullivan @ Grumpy Doyle's 1/20/12

Ironic's Max Sullivan will be performing on 1/20/12 from 9pm-12am at Grumpy Doyle's, located at 530 Main Street in Reading, MA.

Max Sullivan is one of the areas up and coming young performers. While he is known as a great blues guitarist, he plays all styles of music; classical, gospel, funk, roots, punk, classic rock. He writes and performs his own material in addition to performing covers. His set list is eclectic; you'll hear anything from Buddy Guy to the Ramones. This young blues man knows his roots, but he is as influenced by the Pixies as by John Lee Hooker. His original songs are clearly blues infused but have crossover appeal. Max ialso performs with the International House of Blues Foundation band, at the Boston House of Blues.

Max has recently received press in the Manchester Union Leader and the Newburyport Daily News. He's also been featured on 99.3 WFRD's Home Brew show, Spotlight Magazine’s Backstage Pass, the TV show Backstage in Raymond and in Newburyport Magazine.

You can find Max Sullivan performing on any given weekend solo acoustic or with his band, the Max Sullivan Group (with Lee Boissonneault on bass and Chris Brown on drums). He is also the guitarist for the House of Blues Foundation house band at the Boston House of Blues location.
