Former American Idol Lauren Alaina Latest to Flub National Anthem

At the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers NFL game on Thanksgiving Day 2011, Former American Idol runner-up Lauren Alaina became the latest embarrassment to our National Anthem, forgetting the words and opting for several seconds of silence rather than improvising the lyrics as has been done by some flubbers in the past.

"What so proudly we hailed" she sang, "through the twi..." and then a moment of awkward, excruciating silence.

(Not so) proudly we "flail." Ugh.
