English Prof's granddaughter

by Erika
(Houston, TX, US)

The lyrics are I'll stop the world and MELT with you. It can be clearly heard, and it would make no sense whatsoever for Hershey to use a song saying "I'll stop the world and MELD with you" since chocolate MELTS.
Doug and others who think it's MELD need to have their hearing checked.
I guess MTV got it wrong too, along with the credits at the end of Valley Girl. I think not.
You're BOTH wrong.
Besides, the definition of MELD has to do with playing cards, as in to 'announce and display a counting combination of cards in the hand for a score.' See Dictionary.com.
