With regard to your commentary (sidebar) for Enrico Caruso singing "The Lost Chord" - in April,1912. You state this occurred at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York at LINCOLN CENTER. I'm afraid this is impossible. Caruso died in 1921. He would have sung it at the "Old Met" located at 39th and Broadway. The "Old Met" was tragically and criminally demolished in the early 1960s (c. 1966). The "New Met" indeed was not constructed in or at Lincoln Center
until 1966.
