I was very impressed by Dr. Zubrin and the range of proposals, ideas and concerns in this book.

Just before the financial crisis hit, GM CEO Rick Wagoner testified before the Senate Energy Committee about giving Detroit low interest loans to help them re-tool for hybrids and alternative energy vehicles. If this legislation moves forward, Dr. Zubrin's mandate for flex fuel vehicles should be a condition of the loans. But the big financial bailout may cancel the loans.
