A sane energy policy

by Peter

This is a great book. Why send trillions of dollars to the House of Saud (which is funding terrorism) when we can have cleaner power where the money will go to domestic farmers and poor farmers world wide. Methanol and ethanol are safer, pollute less and have a zero green house gas impact.

Methanol can be made out of urban garbage such as food waste, plastics, Styrofoam, paper, clothing and cardboard, reducing land fill problems.

Brazil has gone to flex fuel vehicles and they have gone from importing 80% of their energy to 0%. In the same period of time, the USA has gone from importing 30% to 60% of their energy. So Brazil has economic surpluses and is tearing down slums and putting up cheap housing for their poor. The US is teetering on the edge of a major depression because of $400 billion leaving our economy every year for foreign oil.

This is a must read book. I'll vote for anyone who says that they will implement this policy.
